Hey! I'm Jenny. I grew up in Boulder, Colorado and I'm currently a 4th year undergrad student at the University of Washington Seattle. I am pursuing degrees in informatics and geography: data science with a minor in digital arts & experimental media.
My passion for product and game design comes from my interests in art, technology, and storytelling. I'm committed to using design to promote social justice.
My focus in UX design is centered around creating accessible technology. What sparked my first project idea to make the housing search for college students more convenient was the various obstacles I faced when first moving to my first apartment. This project was the first step I took to creating solutions with design.
The first game I designed was for a class project, an RPG that told a story of inequities caused by technology. I was inspired to use my UX design skills to create games for social good. Through storytelling in games, I take the player through a journey and highlight various social issues such as systemic inequities, drunk driving, and financial literacy.
